Was liegt in und unter der Erde? Gemeinsam mit der Künstlerin Camila Sposati bohren wir nach und graben mit Sonden an drei Stellen bis zu 5 Meter tief in den Boden. Die gezogenen Bohrkerne werden genauer unter die Lupe genommen und mit Expert:innen besprochen. Drumherum kann das Erdinnere mit Bodenmikrofonen gehört und bei Rote-Bete-Limonade geschmeckt werden. Schließlich werden auf die entstandenen Bohrlöcher selbstgebaute Mundstücke von Camila Sposati gesetzt und alle sind eingeladen, sich am Spielen der Erd-Instrumente zu versuchen. Vor der Bohrung nimmt Camila Sposati alle Interessierten in einem Workshop in eine unterirdische Zeichenübung mit, in dem das Erdinnere gemeinsam mit Stift und Papier fantasiert wird.

Die Veranstaltung kann jederzeit zwischen 13 und 17 Uhr besucht werden. Um 13 Uhr findet der Zeichenworkshop mit Camila Sposati statt. Ab 14 Uhr beginnt die Bohrung.

Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch und Englisch statt. Flüsterübersetzung zwischen beiden Sprachen wird angeboten. Beim Bohren der drei Löcher kann es zwischenzeitlich etwas lauter werden, Gehörschutz ist vorhanden.

Der Eintritt ist frei. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

What lies in and under the earth? Together with the artist Camila Sposati, we will drill and dig down to five metres under the ground and take samples at three locations. These will be examined and discussed with experts, while the earth’s interior in their vicinity can be listened to using ground microphones and can be tasted in beetroot lemonade. Finally, we will place mouthpieces made by Camila Sposati on top of the boreholes, and these will become instruments that everyone is invited to try their hand at playing. Before the drilling, Camila Sposati will invite interested visitors to take part in an underground drawing workshop, where we will imagine the earth’s interior with pen and paper.

The drilling can be visited between 1 pm and 5 pm. At 1 pm, the drawing workshop with Camila Sposati will take place. From 2 pm the drilling will begin.

Suited for german and english speakers. Wispered translation between the languages is possible. During the drilling of the three holes, it can get a bit noisy, ear protection is available.

Admission is free. Registration is not required.

The event is the prelude to the exhibition Breath Pieces, which will open on 11 May 2023 at 7 pm at the ifa Gallery Stuttgart.
