double bassist, improviser, composer, songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, musical explorer.

Born and raised on the Canadian prairies, the imagery of the big sky and wide open landscapes have forever permeated his music. A unique voice on the Double Bass, his captivating solo sets juxtapose his clear singing voice against the wild overtones and deep resonances projecting from his bass. He uses a unique combination of conventional, extended and invented techniques along with unconventional tools to extract a vast palate of sounds from his bass.

His first solo album ::Aposiopesis:: was released in 2008. Since then he has filled the bass chair on over 20 albums with artists such as The Barr Brothers, Benoit Delbecq, Lhasa de Sela, Tom Arthurs and a long list of others. Currently based in Berlin, he is a member of bands such as Coal Oven, Sequioa, Quairos, and Glue. A new solo album is coming in 2017.

Der SINGLES CLUB kümmert sich um Musik und nur indirekt um einsame Herzen. Eine Band wird in den SINGLES CLUB eingeladen, via Live-TV-Schaltung hat das Publikum die Möglichkeit vor Beginn einen Blick in den Backstage Bereich zu werfen. Im Anschluss an das Konzert bekommt jede Besucherin und jeder Besucher eine extra für diesen Anlass aufgenommene 7inch Vinyl Single der Band geschenkt. Ein Versuch, Konzertsituation und Theatersetting idealerweise miteinander zu verbinden.
